Nigerian born Hollywood actor, David Oyelowo is nostalgic and excited to be at the 2016 edition of Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Soaked in the fun of the film festival opened three days ago with the CITYtoCITY programme that highlights among others eight films from Lagos State, Oyelowo at the opening event could not hide his joy that for the first time, he found himself in a room of people who can say his name, DAVID OYELOWO properly.
He expressed confidence that Nollywood would soon shoot from the second position to the first place on the list countries with the highest film productions in the world. Oyelowo, one of the most sought after talents in British/American films was filled with joy to meet Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde and top players in Nollywood including Richard Mofe-Damijo, Sola Sobowale, Kunle Afolayan, Ireti Doyle,Lancelot Imasuen, Mo Abudu, Omoni Oboli, Adesua Etomi, Banky W, Beverly Naya and Zainab Balogun, among others at The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre, Toronto.
