Debonair Tunde Oshinubosi popularly known as LaFace, has initiated a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Atar Communications Nigeria Limited, owners of LibertyTV and Radio and Dkannys Nigeria Limited on Arewa Film Festival and Awards (AFFA).
Laface, the convener of the Arewa Film Festival Awards (AFFA) 2016 represented Dkannys Ltd while Atar Communications Nigeria Limited was duly represented by Head of Marketing, Mr. Dennis Gowon at the MOU signing ceremony which took place on Tuesday, 19th July, 2016 at the Atar Communications HQ, Kaduna, Kaduna State.
The maiden edition of AFFA has been scheduled for November 2016 in Kaduna. AFFA, from all indications promises to be the biggest indigenous international film festival and awards in Northern Nigeria. It is also expected to draw the participation of active stakeholders in Kannywood.
Speaking to E247mag.com on the project, Oshinubosi said AFFA aims to celebrate creativity on a yearly basis and has been established to project, reward and propagate the emeeging Kannywood film Industry to a global audience and ensure more interests and participation.
